Dr Gustavo Gonzalez – Surgeon (Mexico)
” My passion for human beauty has brought me on paths and decisions in my life that I would have never imagined. The first thing that I’ve learned is that when you have a dream, you have to invest time, perseverance, determination and commitment to make it come true. As a plastic surgeon, I’ve learned that although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and is subjective, knowing my patients, their motivation and their real expectations is the key to success. My work is based on reality and not impossible dreams.
Choosing cosmetic surgery is a patient personal decision, and my role is not to convince the patient but to guide him through the process and possible procedures. Aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries go together as such a fine line that this line seems invisible. When a patient consults me for a congenital malformation, cancer, or aesthetic improvement, it is my duty to conscientiously develop the best approach to answer the patient’s needs and expectations.
Knowing that beauty is purely anatomy, and knowing what is the best procedure for each patient, respecting the natural look and function of the body, has been a pattern for me. It reflects my convictions and ethical guidelines. “
